Wynnum Manly star Luke Dalziel-Don is set to play his 100th match in the Queensland Cup for the Seagulls. Dalziel-Don has been one of the Seagulls’ most consistent players in recent seasons, with his form warranting selection in the last three Queensland Residents teams. But the talented back-rower won’t be the only centurion taking the field. Consistent Comets forward and 2010 Country representative Tyron Haynes is also making his 100th Queensland Cup appearance. While the Comets have endured a lean season, Haynes has maintained his form and can hold his head high. The pressure is firmly on the Seagulls following their 28-16 defeat at the hands of the Mackay Cutters last weekend. Another loss here could see Paul Green’s team lose their spot in the top six with three rounds to play. However, Green’s team has hit back hard after unexpected losses on several occasions already this year and a strong performance is expected in Rockhampton. Wynnum Manly fans can tune into the Bay FM call with Mike Higgison and Troy Robbins from 6pm.

It was nearly a perfect half of football for the Seagulls last weekend against the Mackay Cutters, at least for 36 min anyway. After completing 19 from 20 sets and dominating field position for much of the half we went to the break being down 12-10.
Experienced NRL players Grant Rovelli and Shannon Gallant combined to lay on 2 tries in the 4 min before half time. Instead of going in to the break full of confidence we found ourselves behind on the score board and lacking energy.

THE Wynnum Manly Seagulls will stage a reunion for players involved in the club’s remarkable 1975 season at BMD Kougari Oval on Sunday. The reunion will be held in conjunction with the Intrust Super Cup match against the Mackay Cutters. The 1975 season was arguably the most successful in the Seagulls' 60-year history, with all three senior grades qualifying for the semi-finals for the first time, and the reserve and third grade teams winning both their respective premierships against the competition's minor premiers.
A reunion of this magnitude has been a long time coming, with many members of these terrific sides getting together on Sunday for the first time. During the gala day, a number of former Wynnum-Manly players will also be introduced to the crowd before the main game, including some former greats who played for their state and country while at the Seagulls.
Who can forget past greats donning the red and green, like Platz, Rhodes, Patterson, Hardie, Toga, Dowling, McTaggart, Seaton and the legendary Hornery?
The Bartons Bayside Call Team of Mike Higgison and Troy Robbins will broadcast the main game on Bay-FM 100.3. They will interview a number of former Wynnum Manly legends before the big 2pm clash. With the Seagulls enjoying their best season for a number of years, this crunch match is sure to draw a big crowd.
The FOGS Cup and Colts sides will also face season-defining matches against the Wests Panthers

There is no lonelier place than a losing dressing room which has been ours for the past 2 weeks. We were all smiles on the weekend though after a good solid 38-6 win over Ipswich on the weekend.
Defence was the theme for us all week after leaking 100 points in our previous 2 matches against Souths and Tweed. It was very satisfying to see that the Seagulls players were committed in that area only limiting Ipswich to a late try.
