A week after suffering their biggest loss in the Queensland Cup, the Northern Pride heads to BMD Kougari Oval with plenty to prove. The Pride was humiliated last weekend by the Sunshine Coast Sea Eagles, who ran in 64 unanswered points. All eyes will be on how the Pride responds against the Seagulls, who were a touch disappointing themselves against Burleigh last weekend.
Experienced centre David Seage is set to return to the Seagulls line-up after missing the 14-point loss to the Burleigh Bears. Seage’s inclusion means Jon Grieve, a member of the Sunshine Coast’s premiership-winning team last season, moves to the interchange bench. The Seagulls currently sit in fourth spot on 15 competition points, while the Pride is in eighth spot, one win adrift of the top six.
