The Seagulls took on the Tweed Seagulls over the weekend in a strong day of academy football, with all four junior representative sides showcasing plenty of grit and development.
The Harvey Norman U17s kicked off the day and were involved in a tight, hard-fought contest. Neither side was able to gain the upper hand, with the match finishing in a 14-all draw.
Next up, the Cyril Connell Cup side produced a determined performance in a physical encounter, grinding out a 10-4 victory in a game dominated by defence and effort.
The Harvey Norman U19s followed with an impressive display, controlling the match from start to finish to record a convincing 30-8 win over Tweed.
Rounding out the day, the Mal Meninga Cup team put on an entertaining performance for those in attendance, finishing strongly to secure a 30-10 victory.
Overall, it was a positive weekend for the academy, with strong results across all grades and plenty of encouraging signs as the season continues to build.
