This Sunday 20th of July will see two teams travel from the west to BMD Kougari Oval to take on the Seagulls.

Our BMD Premiership and Hostplus Cup teams will play together at home for the first time this season, and we will also welcome the Souths Logan Magpies vs Western Clydesdales BMD Premiership match to the schedule.

Hostplus Cup take on the Western Clydesdales in the feature match of the round at 2:10pm, broadcast for free on Kayo, 9Now, and QPlus.tv

While our BMD Premiership team face the Ipswich Jets at 12:05pm, also broadcast for free on QPlus.tv.

This Sunday the 29th of June will see two old rivals go head to head once more, as the Redcliffe Dolphins make the trip to BMD Kougari Oval.

Additionally, our BMD Premiership team will head to Cairns to play the Northern Pride on Saturday afternoon.

After getting the better of us in Round 3, the Seagulls will be keen to make amends in front of our home crowd, with plenty of people expected through the gates on the day.

BMD are our matchday sponsor and will have some mini footballs for our supporters in the crowd.

While our partners at Chemist Warehouse Wynnum and Tingalpa will offer one lucky supporter the opportunity to kick for $5,000 cash at halftime of our Hostplus Cup game. The Chemist Warehouse van will also be parked on the Chook Pen hill to hand out goodie bags to our supporters.

The Wynnum Manly Juniors BRL Reserve Grade teams are up first against the Brighton Roosters, before BRL A Grade take the field.

Then, in an exciting development in 2025, the NRLQ U20s match between the Brisbane Broncos and NRL Dolphins will be held at 12:15pm. This is a great opportunity to see future NRL stars playing for both clubs right here on the hallowed turf of BMD Kougari Oval.

This Sunday we’ll take three teams to Souths Logan Magpies in a huge day of football.

The Wynnum Manly Juniors will also play in the BRL A Grade in an action-packed day.

Our BMD Premiership team will take the field for Round 1 of the competition. The girls are eager to get underway, having trained since Easter for this moment.

While in the Hostplus Cup, the teams will play for the Mitch Cronin Cup. This is the first match that has been held at Souths since the inception of the Cup, with every other iteration being at BMD Kougari Oval and once on Stradbroke Island.

As the Mitch Cronin Cup is awarded to the aggregate winner in seasons where we play each other twice, Souths will have to win by 35+ to take the trophy after the Seagulls won 54-20 in Anzac Round.

Selwyn Cobbo joined the Seagulls last round as a late inclusion and brought a stream of people through the gates, and it will be well worth the trip to see the Seagulls battle Souths across 4 games on Sunday.

Mackay Cutters will make the trip to BMD Kougari Oval this Saturday for Round 9 of the Hostplus Cup.

Coming off the trip to Papua New Guinea and then the bye, the Seagulls are keen to get on the field and back into the winner’s circle.

Mackay enter this round 10th on the ladder, having 3 wins from their 7 games. However, the boys from up north always pose a challenge no matter their recent form.

This round is proudly presented by Ronald McDonald House Charities South East QLD, through our partnership with McDonalds Bayside.

McDonalds Bayside have been a long-term supporter of the Seagulls, and this is a great chance for us to give back to RMHCSEQ through donations on gameday.

We kindly ask our supporters to donate what you are comfortable with on Saturday when you see our volunteers walking around the ground.

BMD Kougari Oval will be rocking once more as the Seagulls take on the Souths Logan Magpies this Sunday at 2:10pm.

Both teams will play for the Mitch Cronin Cup, in memory of the former player of both clubs, who passed away during the covid period as a Seagulls player.

Always a memorable, emotion-filled day, the number 9 jerseys from both teams will be retired for the day to honour Mitch.

Seagulls supporters will be out in force to get our boys back on track after a mid-season hiccup.

Souths are coming off a game-winning field goal against the Tigers and will be buoyed some returning NRL talent, ensuring a great game of football.

Gates will open at 1:30pm, with kick off at 2:10pm.

Every adult that comes through the gates of BMD Kougari Oval will receive a ticket into the halftime draw. We’ll pick one ticket out on field at halftime, with the winner able to take a car from Bartons and a caravan from Jayco away for the weekend!

On Sunday 16 June, the BMD Wynnum Manly Seagulls will take on the Central QLD Capras at home in Round 14.

In a great addition to the day, we’ll also host 3 BRL games as lead up games to the main Hostplus Cup match.

Beenleigh (as the home team) will play against Wynnum Manly Juniors across BRL A Grade, Reserve Grade and U21.

This local rivalry will create a great day of footy at BMD Kougari Oval.

This Sunday we welcome the Burleigh Bears to BMD Kougari Oval for a top of the table clash.

A perennial Hostplus Cup powerhouse, the Bears have proven hard to beat for the Seagulls in recent years, including our preliminary final loss at Burleigh in 2023.

However, the Seagulls 2024 squad has a lot of fresh faces and has been playing a great style of football upto this point in the season.

Despite a couple of season-ending injuries to Broncos-contracted Delouise Hoeter and new recruit Tony Tumusa, coach Mathew Head and his staff have navigated the depth of their squad well so far.

Sunday will provide a great test for the Seagulls, and our boys have kept on eye on this game for a number of weeks.

This match will also be broadcast for free on Kayo Freebies, Channel 9Now and QPlus.tv for anyone that can’t make it to the game.

Down at BMD Kougari Oval on Sunday, we’ll have our full range of merchandise available, including our brand new hoodies, as well as a jumping castle for the kids.

BMD Wynnum Manly Seagulls are making the trip down to Tweed for a battle of the two Seagulls teams this Sunday.

While our Mal Meninga Cup team take on the Burleigh Bears in the semi final of the competition as they look to continue their great form.

The Flockbuster is back this Sunday at Piggabeen Sports Complex, Tweed Heads, as our Hostplus Cup and BMD Premiership teams head down the coast.

Our joint partner McDonalds has dubbed this clash the ‘Battle of the Fries’, and both clubs will be looking to fight their way further up the ladder.

Tweed are coming off a 50-12 win over the Tigers in the Hostplus Cup, while their BMD Premiership squad contains a host of NRLW stars, such as Jamie Chapman.

Wynnum Manly face a couple of tough games at Tweed, but are certainly up for the opportunity to bounce back in both competitions.

The Mal Meninga Cup semi final takes place at Burleigh on Saturday at 12:30pm.

Wynnum Manly won 6 of our final 7 games to finish 6th on the ladder. And we’ll take on 3rd place Burleigh for a spot in the preliminary final the following week.

 

Our Hostplus Cup and Hastings Deering Colts teams will make the trip up north to Townsville tomorrow to face the Blackhawks.

Both coming off a win against Tweed, who were flying high in both competitions, our Seagulls will be looking to continue their good form and climb the ladder.

As our second longest away trip, Townsville always pose a threat and have been particularly strong in the Colts competition for a number of years.

This is an important game for both of our teams at the halfway point of the season.

Round 10 of the Hostplus Cup will see the Papua New Guinea Hunters visit BMD Kougari Oval on Saturday at 3pm. Our Premier Partner, George Hartnett Metropolitan Funerals will present this gameday to show their support for the local community.

After causing an upset of the Seagulls last year on our home turf, the Hunters will be confident of repeating that result given the exciting talent that runs through their team.

The BMD Wynnum Manly Seagulls will be looking to kickstart the middle period of the season after coming off the bye last weekend.

The Hunters always pose a physically tough challenge, and will compete until the very end of the game.

Given the Seagulls up and down start to the year, this is a great opportunity to show our supporters how good we can be.

With our Hastings Deering Colts on the bye this weekend, we have invited the Redlands Junior rugby league club to provide two teams for a once in a lifetime pre-game experience.

King Wally Lewis will coach these two Redlands Juniors teams in a practice game before Hostplus Cup kickoff, giving back to his local community and inspiring the next generation of QLD superstars.

Then at halftime, GHM Funerals will offer 3 lucky supporters the chance to walk away from the game with a $100 voucher and a signed ball. All you have to do to be selected is wear your Seagulls supporter gear and look out for our Seagulls mascot as he walks around the ground in the first half!
