A Letter From Our CEO

To all our valuable stakeholders and supporters,

As many of you are aware, our Old Boy’s Day vs Redcliffe Dolphins will be this Sunday 25 June at BMD Kougari Oval.

We would love to see as many of you there with your old jerseys and supporter gear on to cheer on our Seagulls.

Our Hostplus Cup team are currently placed in 3rd and have won their last 5 matches to push for a top four finals charge, making this round very important to us with a bye coming next week. Our Colts are currently placed in 4th and have a tough match against a good Redcliffe Dolphins team.

In addition, our Platinum Partner Chemist Warehouse will host their Kick For Cash at half time of the main game, with upto $5,000 on offer.

On a more sobering note, the BMD Wynnum Manly Seagulls are seeking to assist a former player of our club, John Grieves. John, wife Amelia, and two little daughters, have recently lost their home and all their personal belongings to a devastating house fire. Fortunately for the family, everyone escaped safely. The Grieves family are facing a lengthy and emotional rebuild process to get back on their feet.

The Grieves Family

On Old Boys Day, we ask for your generosity to assist one of our own by donating to the Grieves family Go Fund Me page. You can see it here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/house-fire-victims-lose-everything

We will also have people with donation buckets moving through the venue to ask for any donations on the day. The goal is to reach $90,000 (they’re halfway there) to allow the family to place a motorhome on their block so they can rebuild their lives.

We’re looking forward to seeing you all at the game against our biggest rivals.

Up The Gulls!
