Seagulls Media Release
The BMD Wynnum Manly Seagulls are pleased to announce the re-signing of head coach Adam Brideson until the end of the 2020 season.
The contract was formally signed today and will take the former Seagulls captain to four seasons as head coach.
Wynnum Manly CEO Hanan Laban said an internal review into Seagulls’ performances and structures had reaffirmed the club’s belief that Brideson is the person best equipped to deliver long-term success.
“Adam has worked very hard to implement the structures and processes behind the scenes to position us for sustained success,” Mr Laban said.
“The club is the most professional it has ever been in its football operations, which allows us to better develop our players to the best level they can be.
“Adam is a young coach on the way up and is highly respected by the playing group and staff.
“The contract extension ensures stability in our football department and gives us the opportunity to convert our hard work into on-field success in the coming years.”
Brideson said he is excited for the future at BMD Kougari Oval.
“I really appreciate the confidence that the club has shown in me,” Brideson stated.
“There have been many positive developments at the club in the past couple of years, including the upgrade of our facilities and strengthening of the Seagulls Academy. These will pave the way for greater development for our players and local juniors.
“I am looking forward to working with all of the staff and players over the coming seasons and delivering the wins on the field that our supporters crave.”
