Future Gulls: Get to know Braden Whittaker

They are the young guns coming up through the McDonald’s Seagulls Academy and we get to know them a little better.

Name: Braden Whittaker

Age: 19

School attended: Hervey Bay State High/ Marsden Grade 12

Junior club: Hervey Bay Seagulls

Where is he playing now: Braden is a prolific try scorer who was part of Wynnum Manly Seagulls 2019 Mal Meninga Grand Final team. He is working hard on his goal kicking to improve his accuracy. Braden is a member of the McDonald’s Emerging Seagulls program and Leadership Group of the Wynnum Seagulls Hastings Deering colts squad and completed his first preseason with Intrust Super Cup Squad.

Braden the footballer: Braden is one of the best support player’s in the club, he is very fit and understands his role and the urgency required at fullback. He has genuine speed, great footwork at the line and is willing to learn. Braden is a real larrikin around the club which everyone likes about him.

Favourite Hobby: Fishing

Favourite Meal: Spaghetti Bolognaise (cooks it all the time for housemates Lachy Perry and Jack Callow)

Pets: Two dogs, Kobie and Storm
