Max Plath Signs With Dolphins NRL Team

One of Wynnum Manly’s favourite sons, Max Plath, has signed a 3-year contract with the Dolphins NRL team, effective immediately.

The Dolphins have promoted Plath to their Top 30 squad, in a exciting development for the 21 year old.

The versatile playmaker follows his Dad, 4-time Broncos Premiership winner John Plath, into an NRL system, with a great chance to make his debut in the 2023 season.

Max was a standout in the recent fixture between Redcliffe and the Seagulls in Round 4 of the Hostplus Cup, and clearly caught the eye of the Dolphins who moved to sign him.

Max debuted for the Seagulls Hostplus Cup team at Iona College, his alma mater, in 2022 and sealed the win with an outstanding try.

Since then, he has gone onto score 9 tries in 17 games, showing his versatility by filling numerous positions.

Having played for the Wynnum Juniors, Seagulls Hastings Deering Colts and Hostplus Cup teams, Max is Wynnum Manly down to his core, and we wish him all the best for the future.

We hope to see Max make his first grade debut soon, and as a club we are proud of the pathway we continue to provide for players to chase their dreams of making the NRL.
