Paul Green Medal Day Tickets On Sale

The BMD Wynnum Manly Seagulls, in collaboration with the Green family and friends, are proud to welcome one and all to our Paul Green Medal Memorial Day on Sunday 20 August at BMD Kougari Oval.

This will be much bigger than a football game, with a day of celebration of Paul’s life planned for the community.

Firstly, a fundraiser lunch with the focus on CTE awareness, and with appearances from rugby league legends, will take place inside the Wynnum Manly Leagues Club (tickets on sale here).

Then guests will move outside to BMD Kougari Oval to watch a Wynnum Manly vs Easts Legends Match from 1pm. Both teams will be wearing retro jerseys for this game, which will be exclusively available for sale on the day. The teams will be competing for the BMD-Bartons Cup. Paul was close friends with many at BMD and Bartons, and both businesses have been instrumental in organising this memorial day.

Then at 2:10pm, in a free broadcast on Kayo Freebies, 9Now and QPlus.tv, the Seagulls will host the Brisbane Tigers, with the Paul Green Medal awarded to the Player of the Match.

We are expecting a large crowd for this event and welcome everyone on the day. These two clubs are not only local rivals geographically, but will be jostling for a top 4 position, with the Seagulls currently 3rd on the ladder, and the Tigers 4th.

See below for Sunday 20 August gameday details:

Tickets for the Paul Green CTE Fundraiser Lunch will need to be pre-purchased through the Seagulls website or by clicking this ticket link. You can also buy tickets to the football game through the same link or at the entry gate on the day.

Please note: a ticket to the fundraiser lunch will also gain you access to all football games (guests will exit the Leagues Club after lunch and move out to the football field area).

All money raised on the day will be split between the Australian Sports Brain Bank and the Seagulls Foundation.

Don’t miss what promises to be a great afternoon of footy and a memorable reflection on Greeny’s amazing contribution to the game of rugby league.
