Do you have what it takes to kick for some serious cash?
That’s the question Chemist Warehouse is asking Seagulls supporters with the announcement that one lucky customer will take a conversion attempt for $5,000 on Sunday, September 1. The kick will be taken at half time during the Seagulls’ last home game of the year against the Norths Devils.
Game day will also include free entry for all Wynnum and Tingalpa Chemist Warehouse customers who present a receipt for $25 or more at the front gate.
First introduced in 2018, the kick for cash stakes have risen from $3,000 to $5,000.
Chemist Warehouse area manager Stephen Cromer said the increase meant the potential for a substantial bearing on someone’s life.
“$5,000 could be mean a holiday for the whole family. it is a significant prize we hope will have a positive impact for one of our customers”
“Chemist Warehouse is committed to our community. This initiative will see our Wynnum and Tingalpa stores’ partnership with the Wynnum Manly Seagulls celebrated in a unique way. ”
Those who wish to go in the draw for the Kick for Cash will be asked to write their name on the back of the receipt before submitting it into the barrel located by the front gate.

$5000 Kick For Cash – Key Information
- Purchase $25 in store at Chemist Warehouse Wynnum & Tingalpa to go in the draw
- After purchase, Customers are entitled to FREE entry into the Wynnum Manly Seagulls v Norths Devils match on Sunday September 1, 2019
- Customers are advised the keep their receipt and are asked to present this at the front gate for FREE entry into the game
- Customers will then be given the opportunity to enter the ‘Kick for Cash’ draw by writing their name on the receipt and submitting this receipt into the barrel located the the front gate
- 10 minutes prior to the first grade game, 3 finalists will be drawn at random from the barrel
- The one winner will be drawn at random from the 3 finalists at half time during the first grade game
- The kick will take place at half-time in the first grade match
- The winner has an option to place kick a goal from the 40 meter line themselves for $5000, from the 30m for $2500, from the 20m for $1500 or from the 10m for $500
- If the kicker misses, they will receive a second chance kick from the 10 meter line for $500
- Each kick will be taken directly in front of the post
- Customers can enter as many times as they like
- Kicker needs to be 18 years and over
