BMD Wynnum Manly Seagulls have confirmed the re-signings of the bulk of the 2018 In Safe Hands Cup BRL A-Grade Premiership side.
Grand final winning try scorer, Matthew Milson, headlines the re-signing spree by the Seagulls after making his Intrust Super Cup debut in 2018.
The electric fullback joined the Seagulls Colts side in 2017 and has developed strongly under the tutelage of lower grade coaches Ron Troutman and Joe O’Callaghan.
Power running hooker Kalolo Saitaua has re-signed and will be looking to build on his six games in the top grade in 2018 with a big preseason.
The Seagulls have also locked away the re-signing of BRL championship players: Harlan Collins, Braden Collins, Adrian Elder, Semisi Ahoafi, Bradley Mana, Mitch McMillan and Jacob Paulo. John Te Reo, Corey Davis and Kelly Tate have also agreed to terms with the Red and Green.
Seagulls CEO Hanan Laban says the BRL is an important pathway for rugby league players.
“The standard of Intrust Super Cup football has taken a big jump over the last few years, which makes the pathways within your club all the more important.
We are proud at Wynnum Manly to have clear structures in place which allow players to transition from junior grades into senior football through the BRL.
This grade is an opportunity for aspiring NRL and Intrust Super Cup players to play against men in a competitive environment and prepare them for the rigours of elite level football.”
Passionate club man Jacob Paulo is proud to suit up again for the Red and Green in 2019.
“I hope to help deliver results both on and off the field for the community and our supporters.
The Seagulls are a club heading on the up and I am excited to be a part of the journey with the boys in 2019. Lesssgoo!”
