BMD Wynnum Manly Seagulls confirm the signings of Salesi Funaki, Moses Pangai and Matt Groat.

Funaki and Pangai join from the Brisbane Broncos NRL squad and Groat signs from the Easts Tigers.

All three players bring great size and power to the Seagulls squad.

Edge/middle forward Funaki stands at 182cm and weighs 112kgs, centre Pangai is 191cm and 109kgs, and prop forward Groat is a colossal 190cm and 112 kgs.

Funaki (23-years-old) has been a regular for the Seagulls as a Broncos affiliate player and is looking to continue his pursuit of the NRL dream at BMD Kougari Oval.

Pangai (26-years-old), older brother of Broncos star Tevita Pangai Jr, was the Intrust Super Cup centre of the year in 2016 and will provide extra strike out wide next season.

Former Wests Tigers player Groat (26-years-old) had an injury hampered season in 2018 but is looking to return to his damaging best.

Seagulls CEO Hanan Laban said the trio are strong additions to the club.

“All three players are good men who are coming to work hard and help our football side be successful next season.

They are impressive athletes with great size, which is an asset in the modern game, and we are fortunate to have them at Wynnum Manly.”
