Paul Green Medal

The BMD Wynnum Manly Seagulls are proud to announce the introduction of the Paul Green Medal in Round 22 vs Brisbane Tigers.

In collaboration with the Green family, BMD and Bartons, we’re hoping to make this a massive day at home for the last game of the regular season.

Paul was an instrumental figure in the Seagulls last great period of success, coaching the 2011 and 2012 premiership teams.

Paul also played at Brisbane (formerly Easts) Tigers before going on to make the NRL.

On Sunday 20 August at 2:10pm, our two Hostplus Cup teams will face off, with the Player of the Match awarded the Paul Green Medal.

This will be a huge day of celebration and fundraising at BMD Kougari Oval, with a Wynnum Manly vs Easts legends match to take place before the Cup kickoff.

Running in tandem with the Hastings Deering Colts game, we will host a fundraiser lunch inside the Wynnum Manly Leagues Club with the profit split between the Australian Sports Brain Bank, who focus on research into CTE, and the Seagulls Foundation. We will also have some limited one-off retro jerseys to purchase on the day.

For those that won’t be able to get to the ground, the Hostplus Cup match will be broadcast on Kayo Freebies, 9Now and QPlus.tv for free.

Keep an eye out for tickets to our Brain Bank fundraiser lunch coming soon and lock Sunday 20 August in your diary!
