Seagulls Form Historic Partnership With Bendigo Bank

By Seagulls Media

The Wynnum Manly Community Bank branch of the Bendigo Bank will be the naming rights sponsor of the BMD Wynnum Manly Seagulls’ Local Primary School Partnership Program until 2020.

The Local Primary School Partnership Program is a new community venture by the Seagulls where each home game in the 2018 season will support a local primary school.

The designated local primary school will have the opportunity to raise money for their school through ticket sales and a game day BBQ operated by Bendigo Bank staff.

In addition, students from the school will participate in game day activities such as welcoming the two Intrust Super Cup sides onto the field and fun football drills at half-time.

Seagulls’ CEO Hanan Laban is proud to see the club extend its reach into the local community.

“The Seagulls’ Local Primary School Partnership Program, proudly supported by the Wynnum Manly Community Bank branch of the Bendigo Bank is certain to have a strong positive impact on our community.

Not only will it give local primary schools the ability to raise funds for their projects or needs, but it will give local children and families a connection to the Seagulls and their wider community.

The Seagulls support building thriving and happy communities and we hope that the experiences that the young children will have in participating in game day activities with their friends, will be enjoyable and formative.”

Chairman of the Wynnum Manly Community Bank branch of Bendigo Bank Garry White is excited to partner with the Seagulls and the program.

”At an organisational level, the Seagulls have been easy to collaborate with and we look forward to the community and people investment outcomes, from our sponsorship and support on game days, and behind the scenes too.

“The extent of the community support the Local Primary School Partnership program provides immediately caught our attention. The program aligns with the values and purpose of the Wynnum Manly Community Bank branch of Bendigo Bank.”

Make sure to look out for the Bendigo Bank Sausage Sizzle at the Seagulls v Sunshine Coast Falcons match this Sunday 18 March at BMD Kougari Oval.
