Watch out for the Northern Pride’s big men

This Saturday the BMD Wynnum Manly Seagulls travel to Innisfail to take on the Northern Pride.

The men from Cairns have been in good form lately, sensationally beating the Burleigh Bears in Round 13 and the Hunters the weekend before that.

Last week saw them go down in a nail-biter to the Brisbane Tigers.

Leading the Pride from the front are starting props, Nick Lui-Toso and Paea Pua. Both standing over 190cm and weighing over 115kg, the Seagulls will have to stop these big men if they are any chance of getting the ruck under control.

For the Seagulls, James Robinson has been named for his second Hostplus Cup match after debuting last week, while Max Plath is hoping to make a return from injury.

The Gulls will be looking to rejoin the winner’s circle after being upset but the Hunters last week in front of a raucous Wynnum crowd.

This commences a run of four consecutive matches away from home for the Gulls, which they will be hoping to start with a win.
