Country Week Hostplus Cup Team List

The BMD Wynnum Manly Seagulls are set to make the trip up to Sarina for QRL’s Country Week.

Their opponents, the Mackay Cutters, will only have to travel 20 minutes south of their home town for the match, and should have a strong crowd to support them.

This marks consecutive tough away trips for the Gulls after travelling to Innisfail last weekend.

The Mackay Cutters sit 11th on the ladder, which should not be ignored after the Seagulls have lost to 10th and 12th place in the last two weeks.

Wynnum Manly’s depth has been tested with the Brisbane Broncos needing to recall their full squad through the State of Origin period.

Delouise Hoeter and Zac Hosking have been exceptional for the Broncos in the past two games, after being Seagulls regulars in the Hostplus Cup.

Deine Mariner has been 18th man for both games and looks set to make his NRL debut very soon.

While Max Plath has missed the last two games with an ankle injury.

With the Broncos returning to full strength this week, the Seagulls are hopeful of receiving their regular players back in time to make a run for the finals.

We’ve named a strong team for Round 16 and are looking forward to the opportunity to get back in the winner’s circle.

The Hastings Deering Colts now have two weekends off after their 100-0 defeat of the Northern Pride.

Their next game is against the Redcliffe Dolphins on Sunday 7 August at Moreton Daily Stadium.
