Halfback Sam Scarlett is set to miss the next two rounds of the Intrust Super Cup after he failed to have his Reckless High Tackle – Grade One charge downgraded at the judiciary on Wednesday night.
Scarlett was sent off in the 72nd minute of the Round 17 clash against the Redcliffe Dolphins for his tackle on fullback Trai Fuller.
Coach Adam Brideson will need to reshuffle his playmaking options in the absence of the Queenland Residents’ half in this weekend’s match against the Mackay Cutters on Saturday night in Cloncurry.
Scarlett will return in the Round 20 match against Souths Logan Magpies.
